Calendar

Below, is a holiday schedule for the year.  Please, keep it for future reference.

ATTENTION:  Most of our holidays are the same as RISD. If you are in doubt about a holiday, please, call the studio (214-343-7472). Upcoming holidays will always be on the answering machine. Parents with young children during the afternoon classes please, do not plan to stay during your child’s class time. Consider running an errand in the center or taking a walk in fair weather.

Because of our increasing numbers of young toddlers, and we LOVE toddlers-BUT-the noise in the waiting area during class times becomes very disturbing to our students and teachers. In addition, many dancers work on their homework between their dance classes. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation in teaching even our youngest children that this is a School of Dance. Please, help me promote a quiet learning atmosphere for your dancer.

For your child’s safety, please, be prompt in picking her/him up after class. Teachers begin another class immediately, in most cases, and cannot supervise children waiting for a ride. Children 3-7 years old MUST WAIT INSIDE for their parent. Children in 3rd grade or older may wait outside, UPSTAIRS, to watch, but may not go downstairs to wait. Please, do not instruct your child otherwise.

No Holidays, all classes as scheduled
"Bring-a-Friend" month
If your friend enrolls for the dancing year, YOU win a gift card from Mrs. Janie(your choice of McDonald’s, Sonic, or Chic-Fil-A)
Your parent wins 1/2 OFF your next month’s tuition!

November:

Thanksgiving Holiday-no classes Nov. 23-26

December:

Parent Visitation during your child’s class Dec.12-17
Christmas Holiday-no classes Dec. 19-Jan. 3

January:

Classes resume Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012
Recital costume fee due with Jan. tuition.
See recital info. for your child’s charges.

Martin Luther King Day-no dancing Mon. Jan. 16

February:

No holidays, all classes as scheduled
Recital fee ($50 per student) due with Feb. tuition

March:

Spring Break-no classes March 12-17

April:

Easter Holiday-no classes from Good Friday thru Easter April 6-8

May:

Dress Rehearsal and Spring Recital at Majestic Theatre
Saturday, May 19, 2012
Dress rehearsal times for each class TBA in April
Recital begins-5:00 p.m.

Picture Week in recital costumes-May 21-26 during class times.
